Asset Escrow Issues
Common issues with the FiveM Asset Escrow System
If your encrypted resource does not start, check the error in your server console and match it below.
You lack the required entitlement to use
This means your server is not validating ownership against the correct Cfx.re account.
Fix
- Make sure the server license key belongs to the same Cfx.re account that owns the asset.
- Confirm the asset exists in that account's granted assets list: portal.cfx.re/assets/granted-assets
- Restart the full FiveM server after updating the key.
# server.cfg

This usually means files were corrupted during upload/transfer.
Fix
- Re-upload the full resource.
- Use WinSCP for transfer. FileZilla often causes issues with encrypted/protected files.
- Restart the server and test again.
